Yep -- there's still a certain amount of fear out there on watching Web video. No one wants to wait forever, or have to download a plug-in, or have any of the other problems that have happened over the years. So having the option that's familiar to many will make life simpler, I think.
I'm psyched all those videos are on YouTube now. Glad that the NYTimes created their channel.
