Our short documentary "Icarus in Fort Worth" will screen at the Lone Star Film Festival on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 10 a.m. at 312 Houston St, Fort Worth, TX 76102.

Screening on KERA's Frame of Mind

Tonight at 10 p.m., my short documentary "Icarus in Fort Worth" is included in "Frame of Mind." The program will be broadcast on PBS station KERA.

The fifth episode of Frame of Mind explores North Texas and beyond through the documentary lens with a series of short films featuring old home movies, a family-owned western-wear store, and a famous stuntman from Fort Worth.

Icarus in Fort Worth screening at #FWIFS

Our short documentary "Icarus in Fort Worth" will screen at the Fort Worth Indie Film Showcase on Sunday, July 16th at noon. (This year FWIFS is in the heart of Historic Sundance Square at the Norris Conference Centers - 304 Houston Street, Ft. Worth, Texas 76102.) More information soon.

Icarus in Fort Worth at Tribute Film Festival

Our short documentary "Icarus in Fort Worth" screens Saturday at the Tribute Film Festival in Abilene, Texas. Tickets are free.

The Tribute Film Festival is a three-day, three-night film festival. Events include screenings of selected films in the Frontier Texas theater, a three-day independent filmmaking seminar, social/networking events throughout downtown Abilene, and a festival gala at the historic Paramount Theater to screen the award winning films on Saturday evening March 4th.

The film's logline is:

A Texas daredevil faces danger to become a wingwalker and stunt pilot, risking everything to expand his fame and build a Hollywood movie career. The true story of Ormer Locklear, the greatest pilot you've never heard of.

It features the voice of Joshua Sherman.

And ... the film won Best Heritage Mini-Documentary.

The Texas Sun at Thin Line Film Festival

My short documentary The Texas Sun screened Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Thin Line Film Festival. It was great to attend the festival, and the screening went well.

As far as I know, no one was hurt when the letter "L" fell off the sign.

South Texas Underground Film Festival

Our short documentary Sound Piece will screen at the South Texas Underground Film Festival on December 2, 2015 in Corpus Christi, Texas. The film was made by Justin Hazlett and myself, and is a very brief study on how people use public art works in unexpected ways.

The film's logline is:

We think of a public art work as a visual object, meant for the eye. But what happens when viewers find other ways to play with the art?

So, if you are near Corpus Christi ... you should go see it.

Dead Enders to Screen at Fort Worth Indie Film Showcase

Our short documentary The Dead Enders will screen at Fort Worth Indie Film Showcase on Sunday, July 19 at noon.

The plot: "Three young adventurers race against the clock in the Cowtown Cattlepen Maze."

Best Texas Documentary Short

The Readymade on the Corner screened at Lionshead Film Festival on Sunday, June 28, 2015, and was lucky enough to receive the award for "Best Texas Documentary Short."

Saturday, February 21, 2015 at noon our short documentary "The Dead Enders" will screen at "Thin Line Film Festival."

Thin Line Fest’s line up of short docs this year (February 18-22) includes a truly delightful six-minute flick full of twists and turns. The Dead Enders unfolds in the heart of the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District. There, just off old, red-bricked Exchange Avenue where cowboys work the famous cattle drives twice a day, sits the Cowtown Cattlepen Maze.
